There are four more performances you can catch this week and next week.
Muscoot Farms is hosting an event unlike any other in the farm’s history.
Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the Farm’s fourth theatrical production in the last year, is taking stage on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Directed by Mary Roberts of Croton-on-Hudson, a Muscoot Farm employee and native of Pleasantville -- the fast-paced adaptation runs aboiut 1 hour and 45 minutes.
One of Muscoot’s hayfields will serve as the backdrop. Attendees will take ahayride to the Pumpkin Field theater where they can bring their own chairs, blankets and picnics.
The performance debuted on Sunday, and the next performance is on Wednesday July 18. Subsequent shows are on Sunday, July 22, and Wednesday July 25. Gates open at 5 p.m. Performances are at 6 p.m.

Roberts told Daily Voice that she intends to convey a story about a community that has lost its way, rather than the story of two over-dramatic teenage lovers, the likes of which have caused massive eye-rolling for centuries.
“Instead, I see it as a story about a town whose bright young people ultimately become casualties of their parents’ feuding” Roberts said.
Daniel Stompor originally from Chicago plays Romeo He has most recently performed at Manhattan Repertory Theater and Columbia University.
“His creativity and physicality has been a true gift at every rehearsal” Roberts said.
Ajinkya Subhash originally from India plays Benvolio. He is an alumnus of the highly selective Old Globe MFA Program, where he was trained classically for two years.
“Ajinkya offers endless ways to interpret Shakespeare’s work. His in-depth knowledge of the text shows through in his acting” Roberts said.
Westchester actors also join the cast, including Jenna Isabella of Cortlandt Manor as Juliet, who trained as a Teaching Artist at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and Eric Novak as Montague and Apothecary.
Novak lives in South Salem and has studied at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Barrow Group in Manhattan.
Fight choregrapher Haley Jane Rose of Brooklyn worked with the cast to bring the Montague-Capulet feud to dramatic life in expertly crafted fight sequences.
